How to Remove ‘Powered by Shopify’ From Your Ecommerce Store
The look, feel and functionality of your online store is completely customizable and can be changed at any time. This is your customers’ first impression of your store, your brand, and you as a founder. Removing ‘Powered by Shopify’ can make your store look more professional and branded to your business.
Step 1:
Navigate to your Shopify administrator view. In the left panel, clicks Sales Channels > Online Store > Themes.
Step 2:
Find your store's main theme, or the theme you want to edit, and then click Actions > Edit languages.
Step 3:
If this is the first time that you are editing this text:
- Enter “powered” in the search box.
If you have previously edited this text:
- Click “...”
- Click “Checkout & System”
- Navigate to the Links section
Step 4:
In the ‘Powered by Shopify’ box, type a single space.
If your store is opening soon and is using a ‘opening soon’ page:
- Repeat these steps for the ‘Powered by Shopify HTML’ box
